My name is Jeanette Kozlowski, and I am the social media manager at HikingBoots.com. It’s a pleasure to virtually meet you all! We recently put together a list of 35 reasons to hike the Appalachian Trail. This might be something fun to share with your site readers.

You can view the graphic here: http://hikingboots.com/appalachian-trail. It is accompanied by a blog post with a full list of 75 reasons to make the hike: http://news.hikingboots.com/75-reasons-to-hike-the-appalachian-trail/. This list was created in conjunction with the trail’s 75th anniversary.

After doing research about the trail and reading Bill Bryson’s book, I can only imagine what it is like to hike the entire thing. Incredible!

Thanks for considering it,
Jeanette

u mention "reading Bill Bryson’s book"... I just want to say that I met Bill Bryson & Katz (not his off trail name) at Rainbow Springs campground and I would like to say that what he said about the time that he was at Rainbow Springs Campground was absolutely correct. Many on the hiking community down Bryson and say he wrote many lies or falsehood sin his book but I can repeat that his writings about Rainbow Springs Campground were spot on. I will pull out my book tonight and see what the exact dates that we were there but it was after a big snow storm that left 18 inches on the trail just north of Franlin, NC and 2 ft inthe Smokies (5 ft drifts)...
