Apple Butter Making and What apples meant to folks in the mountains- Presentation
Hands-on projects during the music.  The educational experience will be provided to all who are on the site.  The focus will be on 1890 mountain farm life in the area of Humpback be it music, gardening, transportation, life, death, children, superstition, and an array of topics.
 
Humpback Rocks Mountain Farm is a demonstration homestead portraying mountain life from the 1890s time period.  The visitor center and farm area staffed from 9 AM to 5 PM - 7 days a week during the summer, offering free guided tours of the farm, cultural demonstrations and Blue Ridge Parkway information.  The visitor center offers a bookstore and features exhibits about Appalachian Mountain life. 
 
Ranger talks start at 10 AM lasting 1 - 2 hours.
