From slaves to modern tobacco farmers, singing in the fields and garden.  Let's sing along with BLUE MOUNTAIN SUNRISE, Traditional and Old Time mountain music, with special entertainment for the children.  Flat footing demonstrations.
Humpback Rocks Mountain Farm is a demonstration homestead portraying mountain life from the 1890s time period.  The visitor center and farm area staffed from 9 AM to 5 PM - 7 days a week during the summer, offering free guided tours of the farm, cultural demonstrations and Blue Ridge Parkway information.  The visitor center offers a bookstore and features exhibits about Appalachian Mountain life. 
 
Ranger talks start at 10 AM lasting 1 - 2 hours.
 
Band plays from 2 PM - 4 PM.
 
Program is free and open to the public.  Schedule is subject to change and/or cancellation.  For information regarding programming call 540-943-4716.
