Contact Art Ritter (o2behiking@yahoo.com) if interested. Limited to 12 people. It's a nice time of year for hiking in the mountains. In this 9.2 mile circuit with 1,980 feet of elevation gain, we'll reach the highest point in the park: Hawksbill, with it's 270 degree views. There are a couple stream crossings in the first half of the hike, which will be a pleasant forest hike - look out for wildflowers! About two thirds of the elevation gain will be in the second half of the hike. Contact Art to register and for meet-up information. While this is is not a short hike, and there is lots of elevation, we'll go at a mellow pace and make sure that no one gets left behind.
