General Membership Meeting

David Spears, PG, State Geologist, Virginia Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy –Your Planet, Your Life -
David will be joining us to speak on one of the most high profile topics of today. He will provide us with a geological perspective on climate change, including a review of the ways in which our daily choices impact hot-button issues such as energy development, urban sprawl, and sea-level rise. This is a presentation not to be missed. Meeting starts at 7:00 pm at the Science Museum of Virginia, 2500 West Broad Street, Richmond, VA. Feel free to arrive 30 minutes early for socializing and refreshments. Snacks to share are always welcome.
The ODATC Mission
The construction and maintenance of foot trails for hikers, including the Appalachian Trail between Reids Gap and Rockfish Gap.
The provision of excursions on such trails or other areas.
Offering educational activities related to the need for preserving the great outdoors.
