Sept 18 (Wed): 22nd Street Parking Lot to the Virginia War Memorial and Return (D/4)

Tim Gilbert (804-304-8841 or tim_gilbert@hotmail.com) and Ann Lankey (804-338-1771 or lankeya@gmail.com) will lead a 5-mile hike starting and ending at the parking lot for the 22nd Street access to the Buttermilk Trail. We will follow the Reedy Creek Trail and cross to Belle Isle, continuing on to the Virginia War Memorial. We will recross the river on the Potterfield Bridge and pick up the Buttermilk Trail to return to our starting point. Meet At 9:50 AM

If the parking lot at the 22nd Street park entrance is closed, park on 22nd Street between Riverside Drive and Semmes Avenue.

The construction and maintenance of foot trails for hikers, including the Appalachian Trail between Reids Gap and Rockfish Gap.

The provision of excursions on such trails or other areas.

Offering educational activities related to the need for preserving the great outdoors.
