April 13 (Fri) Saunders-Monticello Trail & Jefferson Birthday Celebration - Charlottesville (C/3)
Jim Hunt (hikerjimhunt@hotmail.com or 804 730 2364) and Kathy Winston - Explore early spring along the Trails and attend the annual Jefferson Birthday Celebration held on the Monticello lawn. The hike will be about 5-6 miles in total. We meet at 7:15 at Oilville park and ride off I-64, contact Jim for more details. To get on the ground of Monticello normally cost $29.00. On Thomas birthday, the cost if free and we also get birthday cake. Please note that it is also Mike Shelor birthday that day and he will join us on the trail.
