March 26 ( Mon) Belmead Riding Club Powhatan County (C/3)

Over 1,000 protected acres situated along the James River in Powhatan County with 30 miles of trails. We will hike 5 miles with James River and scenic field and swamp views. A mecca for birding. Meet at 5001 Cartersville Road, Powhatan, Va. 23139 (turn right at sign for Belmead Riding Club, follow signs to unloading and park at horse unloading lot) at 9:50 am. Lunch afterwards (bring your own sandwich and beverage) at an enclosed pavilion (real bathrooms available). Considered a Wednesday type hike, we are going on Monday due to minimal number of horse riders.
