Mark Wenger (Animal) 757-253-0056 (H) markwenger@cox.net We will leave from Williamsburg at 5:00PM Friday and pick up anyone in Richmond at the Wal-Mart parking lot off I-95 in Ashland exit 92 on the way. We will eat a quick supper on the road and drive I-95 north to 17 then north to I-66 west to I-81 south to exit 291 east to 11 south to 600 west to 603 west to Van Buren Furnace and camp. On Saturday we will hike up to the Tuscarora Trail then west to Big Mountain trail to big Schloss then backtrack slightly to Big Schloss Cut Off trail to the road and then to the entrance of Little Stony Creek trail and camp. This is about 12 miles. On Sunday we will hike the forest road south to Little Sluice trail over Little Schloss to Bread Road trail to Cedar Creek trail to the car which is about 9 miles. This has some big ups each day but it is worth it to do both Schlosses in one weekend.
